It seems that you have quite high tolerances. 15.8mm for 15mm magnet?
it is loose inside. 15.3 goes in, but still holds very poorly. I'd say 15.1 would be the max to go, so that you don't have to use any bolts to tighten the magnets down. Just pressfit in.

Tried to edit in solidworks, but seems like it's just not for me. I have been modeling only with spaceclaim and it seems a whole different way of doing things.

And one the lower side you got so tight tolerances, that decent amount of sanding was required to get the thing not to jam in there. It does not even need to have very tight tolerances in there. It's just holding it in place until it belt gets tightened.

this is a fantastic design, thank you so much for sharing!!! just got a kossel and this is a great upgrade. what magnets do you recommend for this? do they need to be concave or do people generally let a steel bearing float on a flat magnet?

What is a recommended diameter of steel balls for 15mm magnets?

what value for delta_carriage_offset?

Tried to customize this with the built in app here but all it really lets you do is hammer stuff apart lol I am looking for this carriage but for 12mm magnets, or if thats not possible perhaps 10mm for ball attachments with a 4mm screw? Either one would work for me . Would it be possible for you to tweak it a little? I have no way of getting or using solidworks. sorry :(

I made you one with 12mm hole, i made the hole 12.3mm to account for print shrinkage, just print and check please let me know if the magnet fits or if it needs further adjustment. http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1598591

Thank you so much! I have my printer dialed down to about .1mm error at 150mm so usually things are pretty tight. I usually print at 101% if i need something for interference fit. This should work just fine. Will let you know how it goes, My N52 magnets will be here this week. I print a lot with PETG and have found that it does not shrink near as much as ABS.

i love your design do you have for 12mm magnet?

Hi , Wow thanks for the effort. The step file loaded fine. I am using Viacad pro v9. (Economical for me)
I was able to adjust the area I wanted to play with. I am still building the printer so I will know later how
works. Again , best regards. Don B

I really like the design. I added an optical flag to mine. Would love to beef up the spot where a spring could attach.can you publish in a step file

hi there, i have uploaded a step file. hope its correct. let me know if all good.
