I think the best way to print this, is to print infill before perimeters to purge the nozzle. But how do you do this with the top layer? The infill with wrong colors are visible there...

I'm trying to print this now. First of all, I noticed all the files are sideways. Also, I imported them fine into Simplify3D, but when I tried importing them into slic3r, they don't quite fit together right. They leave some spaces in between, even when I turned off auto arrange. This happened both with the amf file, and importing each file individually and rotating them (and even when I rotated them in another app and brought them in). Is that just a visual bug in Slic3r, and is it alright, or is something else wrong?

I'm also very interested in your slicing settings and such in general, since you don't talk about that much in your videos.

Thanks!

Did you manage to align the parts correctly? I ran in the same probs with netfabb and gave up...

I was doing something wrong in slic3r. If you import one of the pieces of the model, then double click on it's name, you'll get the "object settings". In that popup window, click 'load part', and add all the other pieces of the vase. They'll all center on the correct origin. You'll have to rotate the whole thing to get it upright, but it'll align them the right way. Good luck!

Thank you for this comment. I was having trouble aligning parts in slic3r and this was a huge help.

Very nice! I would like to view the single AMF file. What type of 3d viewer or authoring tools do you use for that format?

Repetier and or meshmixer are the two that I use.

I like your extruder design. Hurry and put that design out.

In a day or two.
