could you design one for ender 3? :) Need 5mm to 8mm.

Which is the file for 8mm rod as i dont see it?

Almost completely eliminated my z wobble! I was rushing so I forgot to put on my anti backlash adapter so still about a 5 micron wobble but even without anti backlash and an open top I’m completely satisfied now. Cube is before... endstop holder is after printing and installation.

What is an anti backlash adapter?

I would like to try this one. Which file should i used for the anet a8?

I already wanted to design a similar thing myslf. But now I don't have to. I printed this with PLA at 190 degree C with 0.2 layer height and it's one of my best prints so far. Incredibly reduced Z-Axis wobble.

How do I print this if the pre-existing coupler is broken?

You can try to replace it with a small section of flexible tube, with an inner diameter of ~5 mm, and maybe some zip ties.

What size screws does this use? I'm creating my own RepRap design and need to know. Thanks!

The STL files i've uploaded need four M3 screws, with a thread lenght of 10 mm or more. If you want, you can customize this design with Customizer and use another type of screws (just add ~0.3 mm to the diameter of the screw thread, to compensate for hole shrinkage during the print).

I'm creating my own 3D printer too, something similar to a Mendel90, but I haven't even finished the design of the extruder :(

I printed these to replace the standard aluminum couplers (that have a bit of spring/give to them) and my prints are remarkably better. I used these on an ANet A8.

the screws from aluminium coupler keeps coming off. How would you say this printed parts improved your quality of prints? :)

I'm happy to hear that!

Not bad, has reduced my Z-Banding considerably over the standard aluminium couplers. Still get a little bit but that could be due to motor alignment etc.

Thanks for sharing this easy but well made design, I will give it a try and I'm sure it will be much better centered than the original coupler that creates wobbling Z-axis.

Printed at ABS with low infill (25%?) at .2mm layers and one or two walls.
Still strong, and the threaded rod cut into the bore nicely too.

I printed this in ABS at .1 with 100 infill. This thing came out beautifully and is flawless. Very Strong! Thanks for the design.

It does seem to be pretty strong! I printed it with natural PLA at 215 °C, I don't advise lower temperatures. I haven't tried with ABS.

Hmm I've printed my PLA under 195 and everything comes out great, should I try 215 c°?

Well, usually I have stronger parts with temperatures above 210 °C, but it should work anyways! Just keep in mind that if you tighten the screws too much, it will break

That's just what happened to me. But since they drastically improved my print quality, I'll just print them again in the right color and orientation :)
