just fyi the disc drive wont work in this orientation. Cool idea though.

DO NOT PRINT THIS IS A POOR EXCUSE FOR A THING. THIS IS NOT DESIGNED WITH ANY KIND OF THOUGHT IT WAS THROWN TOGETHER BY A MONKEY IN A FEW MINUTES. THE ONLY WAY YOU WILL EVER GET YOUR XBOX INTO THIS THING IS TO RIP OFF THE RUBBER FEET MICROSOFT PUT THERE... THAT IS BULLSHIT. NEXT THE ***** THING IS MEASURED A 1/4 INCH OR MORE OUT OF SPEC. JUST A FOREWARNING THIS THING IS A WAIST OF PLASTIC AND SHOULD NOT BE PRINTED! i will be making one with the proper measurements and accommodations for the rubber feet.

Ive seen your creations.......... looks yours were thrown together by a one eye goat with a fresh lobotomy that didnt take

Dude you really need to calm down. I don't know where you're getting this entitlement but thingiverse is not a service dedicated to pleasing you alone.
First off, if you read my previous comment I mention that the measurements are off. I never fixed it because I drew it on my laptop and it died before I saved the file.
"thrown together by a monkey in a few minuets" I've got to be honest, that made me very angry to read. Yes it was thrown together in a few minuets, but once I lost the file I decided not to re draw it because I wanted a full rethink of how it was going to work, which was followed by me loosing interest.

I use thingiverse like cloud storage for many of my stl files. This also means the thingiverse community and a$$holes like you have access to them. If you don't like it, quit b1tching like a little girl and make your own.

You mentioned that it prints in 4 parts? I only see the stl's for 3. Confused a bit, any help is appreciated since I would love to use this

Nvm I got it

Got this to work. Using wall mount screws that hold up to 30 pounds instead of screwing into a stud.

How many parts did you print? Did you do two of the clips or something?

Nvm I got it

At 40% infill, according to Makerbot Desktop, this uses 212 grams of material, just under 1/4 of a 1 kg spool. At $50 a spool, that's around $10 just for the material.

First off, I drew this when I was stoned. I think I messed up and got the width measurement for the xbox wrong.
Second, Because of the print orientation you don't need a steel bracket. Again, I was stoned.

Got at least 2 solutions for you on the cost.

  1. get out your 3d molding software and make one of your own, or edit mine.
  2. Don't waste 50 buck on plastic. Hatchbox if perfectly good, and costs half that. The electronics store down the street from my house sells filament. 7 bucks a pound. (or about $3.50 for this mount in material)

So does this fix the Xbox, or was the measuring issue filament estimate related?

Any specific breed?

Anyway, is this ready to print or are the measurements off?
