I haven't been able to print this yet. It keeps coming up with errors when I try to generate the gcode.

I just tried it on Makerware low settings, it worked. The only thing is that it said the file name was too long for the SD card, so I saved it with a shorter name.

Cool idea! However, I have not successfully fold mine yet. It sticks too much and when I force to fold it, the two pieces breaks instead of pivots. I have not tried the improved hinge yet. Any tips on how I should increase the gap between the pieces?

You should be able to push it back together without any damage. The moving parts have a 0.2 mm gap, if your bot is reasonably set up, the only place that the parts may touch is where the filament is attached to the bed. I suggest you remove the model from the bed (being careful not to bend the parts backwards) and then trim the gaps on the underside with a sharp knife prior to folding. The improved hinge will make the joints stronger, but won't change the distance between the moving parts. I included the design files if you want to change the model.

Thanks for the improved hinge. That helps. I was able to fold them model by setting my Extrusion Multiplier to 0.9. I guess it's time to recalibrate. Thanks for sharing this cool model and help me print it!

Beautiful. It's bigger on the inside...
Any chance of a pop-up Jon Pertwee?

Fortunately, my modelling skills aren't up to creating a set of Doctors for it ;-)
Unfolded it's 120x70mm folded it's 30x30x50mm
