The threads are harder to print when oriented sideways like they would have to be, and they aren't as strong when the layers are across the thread like that.
I made one and just like yours it looks a little stringy on the side where the supports where, It was also my first big print so I was dialing in the temps and what not I believe I started a little cold and have some parts with cracks and what not but no big deal, great vice and surprisingly strong! thank you

may i ask why do we need the Thread Insert piece?
Why not just make the hole straight from the Base just like the other one?
Many Thanks for making this tho,
sincerely

Thank you for your kind reply,
i was referring to the small 'Thread Insert' piece that goes underneath the base...
i was just wondering why not print it flushed with the Base :)
But anyways, i have printed it last night
still need some sanding to remove excess plastic but once i have it i will post a picture
again, Thank you so much for sharing
Wish you All the best
Sincerely
Id love to see anyone's made version of this posted now that it has over 850 downloads.

Hey can we get the CAD files? With a couple of slight mods to the jaw area this would make a really useful too. With the tape, not so much.
I only have the fusion 360 files. Would those be suitable for you?
That'd be perfect. I just started using Fusion 360 myself.
okay, ill probably have that up soon.
