For the MK8 extruder part, what kind of bearing should be used for the feed roller, and what specs on the spring are recommended?

Would you please consider making a bowden version?

I'm impressed with this design - I especially like how the carriage can be removed without disassembling the x axis by removing the clamps holding it to the bushings. Now that I've started printing and mounting it, I have a couple of questions.

  1. How does the x axis belt attach to the carriage?

  2. How does the mk8 extruder get assembled? I see a knob on top of where the hot end mounts that looks like it's meant to hold the end of a spring, but the lever looks like it should have a bolt that holds the spring, but there is no place to screw the end of the bolt.

  3. Are there any pictures of an actual build of this?

Thanks!

Thanks for your comment.

the belt is pressed between two pieces of the carriage. (see the new uploaded picture .)

the mk8 extruder, only have a spring without bolt.
Let me upload a new easier version.

I'm not aware that Reifsnyder made any metal finned JHeads. All of the ones I've seen have been PEEK. This kinda looks more like an E3D.

Nice! What firmware are you using to include the inductive sensor on the Da Vinci? I didn't recall seeing support for it in Luc's Repetier firmware.

Just kidding... Found a fantastic tutorial on the process: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EcGFLwj0pnA

What are you using for the bed heater and aluminum plate?
