Is this the orientation of the body for printing? Or did you print it standing up?

All files are supplied in the print orientation that I used.

Great job Chuckbobuck! I am the designer of the Gourd shaped ukuleles, and I have recently uploaded another model I've made including a demo video http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1868201

Is the dimension of your printer too small to try my unibody models? How about give this one a try, one that is broken into 8 smaller pieces. http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1482993

Let me know if it can fit your printer.

Sorry I missed your post. I have sort of ignored this design in favor of the other ukulele design that I have. Your headless gourd ukulele design is quite nice and in some ways similar to my newer version. If I had seen your design before I came up with two of my own I would definitely have printed one. It is exactly what I was looking for at the time.

Amazing design! Thanks for sharing.

Couple of questions though:
Does it play nicely? Could you upload a video for us to see how it sound like?
And.. as I opened it on Slic3r, it was really, really small. So could you measure the printed "ukelele fretboard" for me to know how much scale should I apply before print?

Thanks a million pal!

I create my models in Pro E using inches but it seems to save the units for STL files as mm. Use a scale of 25.4 if there is an issue. As far as the sound goes, it sounds like a small plastic ukulele which is what it is. It's better than a toy but lacks the rich tone of a traditional one. I will be posting another different design in about a week when it is finished. It has a thinner larger round body and hopefully will sound more like a wooden uke. This one is fun to play.
