Can't seem to find an x-carriage for the side mount version. Any body found something? It is for a P3steel.

I think maybe i'm misunderstanding something. I've printed and assembled this and the TPGE; however, if i were to attach the extruder to the mount, the bottom of the mount exceeds that of the extruder. I am using the side-mount version of the extruder. This mount is also meant to work with the side mount version, right?

Same problem here. What did we miss?

Will this still work when I make it about 5 mm narrower? That way it could be able to work with prusa i3 mk2 without shrinking the build volume. Also it would have to have a little piece added on the left side to push the x axis end stop.

Well... I have some new carriages I am about to release that work w both mount styles... did you see the Side-Mount Toranado?

I was just wondering when these new mounts are going to be released? I would like to use my side mount with a mount like this one.

Sir, I am in the process of assembling the new side-mount Toranado from the parts I purchased from you [printing in PETG] and will need to mount it on the Wanhao i3 V2.
Are we in a holding pattern for a compatible x-carriage or will one of the existing designs work?

Thank you for your excellent design and precise build instructions!

The problem is that prusa i3 mk2 has a very wide heated bed, so wide that making the carriage any wider is going to make a strip of the bed useless. The original carriage is exactly 52 mm wide and has a sort of lever on the left side to press x end stop. I am just asking if I can cut a piece of the part away in CAD to make it narrower. Side mount would make the problem even worse, because the toranado takes up more space on the x axis in that position.

Minor thing: the pdf manual seems to be for extruder with brass-knurl nuts, but latest extruder uses m3 nuts, and they're deeper, and the m3 x30mm and 20mm bolts that attach extruder to the carriage are not long enough. So I guess the manual is a bit outdated.

I found this issue also.

However, they are slightly to short. If you press just hard enough the screw will go a liitle further into the back of the mount and reach the nuts.

Obviously you want to be careful as to not break anything...

I finally got this assembled, tryign to test but the nozzle crashes in to the bed, i see bltouch suggest 8.3mm +/- 0.2mm from the bottom of the housing to the nozzle but mine looks like its 9.6mm, did i do something wrong?

Directions for setup are here. There are also multiple videos if you search.

i know how to set it up, its installed and working, the problem is not configuration, but physical positioning... but it doesn't matter, i made some modifications and have it working now.

Hi - I bought the The Toranado Precision Geared 1.75mm Extruder - v2.0 http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1246951 and want to use on this version of purse http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1524754. - is there a chance that you can share the 3D files for this X-Carriage ??? i think http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1524754 doesn't follow the Prusa standard 100%

were you able to put a Tornado in your MP3DP? I'm building one and plan to use a Tornado as well.

Yes. Sveske made a small Change to the mount - so it fits 100%. Let me see if I can manage to uploade it.

thanks @dkcsn! I'm almost done with my MP3DP and just waiting for the TPG kit to be available :)

I added the CAD files for both the heated insert and M3 nut versions.

Hello there, a freind wants to adapt this to his build. is it posible you can upload tpge-xcarriage-w-m3nuts in a file I can edit, so that I can help him with that?

Nice design

I added the CAD files for both the heated insert and M3 nut versions.

Hi Wesley, I am using Igus Drylin RJ4JP-01-08 and find it difficult to make it run on the rod with this x-carriage, only find it just screw in just touching the cover plates and able just barely free run on the rod but still a tad stiff, too loose the Igus Drylin just pops out. I was thinking of tie wrap version and might help with the Igus Drylin. Any help here? Or I might design one.

did you get the ingus bushings to work?
