10-MAR-2016: Added gusset rib and additional top bearing clamp screw bosses ... this further stiffens and stabilizes this carriage.
14-FEB-2016: Moved Extruder mounting holes 8.5mm to left, so top hole is closer to linear bearing, makes mounting more stable. Added X Stop Micro switch holder optimized for use with this carriage. This part simply snaps onto the 10mm smooth rods with a friction fit, it can be manually slid on rods to adjust X stop position. Use flexible material like PET or ABS, PLA may break?
Note: this design is used with LM10UU linear bearings and 10mm smooth rods (standard PRUSA i3 uses 8mm rods).
This is a simple one piece carriage design, that can snap over the linear bearings (easy assembly / dis-assembly), materials like ABS or PET work well for that snap fit action .. PLA may break? The belt ends simply are pressed into the engaging teeth .. add shims (paper, kapton tape, etc..) to increase tightness of that fit .. has worked well for me, belt is firmly retained under high belt tension (for high speed / acceleration).
