Just wondering if I could get the hole dimensions?

Looks very good and will be definitively one of my first prints :) thanks a lot.

One idea from my side: What about a third layer near the bottom with a conical hole? Then you could insert the penciles tip downwards without damage the tip.

Thank you for this thing! Thumbs up to you!

Printed this with pla on my Ender 3. It looks great, thank you for the upload. Printed mine with two legs. I slowed print down for first layers on top plate (grid) as it was having a little trouble sticking to bed. After few layers I increased the speed of print.
(Ender 3 with 2nd version of bed)

This looks excellent. Definitely going to print.

just finished this its awesome ty for upload . anyone else notice rod prints big in slic3r and doesn't fit ? in cura rod prints fine .

very great little brush stand, although had to remove the lettering on the side of the post so it would print standing without any issues.

Made it and love it. Thanks muchly

i like this work. good work.

I love this creation i'm looking for an holder for paint tubes oil for example
with an handle that i could carry the paints for my painting class. Hope u know
what I'm talking about. Keep on creating

hi this is good works very well thanks

can you make me a 11x7 plz
im new to 3d printers

I made this and love it! It's excellent :) Really love the design. I used 0.2 layer height and printed it on a raft. The raft took up a lot of space and I don't know if it was necessary. The only thing I would change is make the holes bigger so it can hold mechanical pencils with big grips.

I am happy to hear you like the design :) ... just an FYI ... one of the awesome Thingiverse users has created a customizable version where you can adjust your needed size, please check it out here. http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1393686

I printed two rods for extra stability. Looks great on my painting table. Nice model SDMC!

Couple questions before I print. :) Do you build the rods up or lay them flat? If you lay them flat do they need supports? Someone said not to use rafts for the rods so I wondered what direction they built it. Thanks!

I built the rod straight up using no supports or rafts. The bottom part of the rod is designed to slowly expand so supports are not needed. I printed with PLA on a non heated bed with blue painters tape using a few layers of glue stick to hold the base.

I prefer to print it flat with little support because this will be stronger overall. Vertical printing leaves the layer lines pretty exposed and with my luck it will break after some days.

According to S3D, an hour difference in printing when laid flat.
