wow, two fans on both sides!!!

Hi, love the design and wanted it for my new e3d v6 variant but i couldn't find a x-axis mount to fit it to.
I'm using the Anet A8 and already printed out this one https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1824307 but the mount of it doesn't go out enough.
Can you tell me what kind of x-axis mount i can use to mount this fan duct to?

Thank you for also posting the STEP file. It allowed me to slightly modify your model, and lower the fans a bit. Now it also fits my printer.

Here is a link to my modification: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2845274

And here is a link to the thing in onshape: https://cad.onshape.com/documents/98faace2a6053180f32e3009/w/1f8eeda8898ffc73bea05ca3/e/0a8d069760e3aedb3f8d4362

E3D-v6 Compact Integrated Fan Duct

I printed mine, and I like that it creates a smaller carriage footprint, so I can now print more models consecutively in one print.

The only problem I've found is my hotend temps have dropped 30 degrees when the fans turn on. I've dropped the max fan speed to 40% and it seems to work well and keep the hotend temps where they need to be. Has anyone else noticed this as well?

I noticed this is as well. I fixed this by sticking a very small piece of tape on the underside of the stock fan just above the hot end. Not sure if this will work for everyone but I have not had a problem since.

can u share image of ur tip? i tried but no effect

Hi, I printed your nice fan duct last night but unfortunately it does not fit on Creality cr-10 with e3d v6 mod. There is a big screw behind the left duct.
Can you make a cr-10 version?
The only detail to change is to move the left duct 5mm forward (in y-axis direction) in order to have more space on the backside...
This would be very nice!

Sorry, it's not 5mm, it's 8mm :-)

Can I use this with the Monoprice Mini Select ( white one ) with this (( http://www.ebay.com/itm/401298670496 )) and which fans would I use with this ? please thank you in advance.

I cannot tell , because there is no way I can confirm its dimensions.

Will this fit a E3d v6 clone?

Why don't you compare clone with genuine product?
As far as know, those are same, I guess.

Do you have an documentation on your printer build?

Can you also do a 3x40mm version ?
would be great
thank you :)

will be great

you should check the remixes lol

It appears you used SolidWorks to design this? Would you be able to provide the SolidWorks Part file so that I can make dimensional modifications?

Brilliant design. I made it yesterday to attach it to a E3d V6 mounted on a Lulzbot AO-101 (after having printed the adaptor to mount the e3d itself) and it rocks!!! I had some problems so it does not look as neat as I want it to be, but as soon as I can have the chance to reprint it I will post some pictures. THANKS!!!!

hi. I print one for my Prusa i3 Steel but it was very wide and rested on Х carriage behind radiator. You can move the central mount to 10mm or share cad file?

I'm afraid I can't understand your situation.
I just added step file for you.

I just remix your thing. The central mount is higher on view.

hey, can you please modify this design for e3d clones too?

Man that's exactly what I was looking for!
After swapping to E3D-v6 I have a provisional 40mm fan blowing from only one side, creating some trouble in the dead spot behind the model, with this baby that will be history. :)
Atm. it's in progress with white ABS and I have to look where I can place my LED braket and even add my lying around Z-probe.
I'm sure it'll work fine and looks very well with the white duct and my blue 40mm LED fans. ;)

Great design, do you have the solidworks file or whatever program you used?

what type filament i want that color so badly !!!!

It is esun gray PLA, but real color is not what it looks in the photo.

Thank you. I will print it out.

Love this shroud. Any chance you could model a bltouch mount that works with it?

Damn, wish I had found this many months ago. Thank you.

Do you have the link to the HBOT? I am looking into building a new printer as mine is pretty cheap and is not that great. Thanks

Thank you for your interest.

The Hbot printer shown in the picture is my own design.
Sorry but It is not for open to public.

Can I print this in PLA, or will it melt?

I printed with PLA at 205 degree,
Duct outlet is 8mm away from heat block, it won't melt

Great design, any chance of one that would fit the 25mm heatsink that the E3D clones have please?

Looks really nice! Any chance of a 8mm longer fan-duct so it will work with volcano hotend?

Only heater block changed for Volcano?
I just looked up E3D pages, it is said that 10mm difference with existing v6 hotend. But schematic shows 8.5mm difference in heater block.
I don't know what is exact value of difference.

i looks awesome, is it possible that you can add the source files for it ?
