Terrible hard to make these parts in metal. Only cheap way is to print them and cast using lost PLA method.

Why metal? This design was created with 3d printed parts in mind. The parts are extremely well designed IMO, they all look like they would print very easily without the need for support. In fact the overall design is very elegant, much simpler than the vast majority of I3 clones out there.

what a cool design .. much much better than the pos acrylic fram with threaded rod mine has .. i guess they wanted commen materials like threaded rod u can get at the hardware, extruded aluminum is a little more difficult to get hands on ... i guess mine isa beginer design, after u get familiar u get to the 4 bearing bed slider, the 4 bearing xaxis holder and such .. but u r still moving the bed on one of the axis and this causes errors to be introduced , moving the whole workpiece while laying layers is not as acurate as having a one position workpiece and moving gantries ...

Its been my experience that alot more error is introduced with a gantry system unless you use precision linear components(ballscrews, precision leadscrews,,linear guides, ect).
These can easily cost more than a good printer kit just for one axis. And unless you know how to set it all up after you blow your wad on that precision linear stuff, then your accuracy is gonna be no better than using straight rods, cheap lm8uu bushings and all-thread rod anyway.
