Thanks for sharing, this is an awesome design that needs nothing except a rubber non slip mat for applying to the base !

i initially thought this would use a push-fit bearing like the skateboard bearings which are dirt cheap, if i get the time i may augment this design to use bearings for a smoother circular movement, have printed this but all my camera's are busted at the moment so cant update photo's yet, but i will soon !!! yeap, even phone camera is busted lol argh...

Once again - thanks for inspiring us all with your awesome design, really cant thank you enough !

happy holidays to you too :)

This gadget is excellent for those of us who repair toy trains and other things such as electronics. The parts of this item fit well and are well thought out. I printed mine using PLA on a Dremel 3D20 using the highest quality setting in the included software. No problems. Very easy.

These files have a mesh problem of some sort. I sliced them using Simplify3D 3.0.2 and the first layers would not slice properly; part of the layer was missing and the stacking hole was filled in. I ran the files through https://netfabb.azurewebsites.net/ which fixed the problem.

Would you make the design files available? I would like to try some remix ideas using the source design files rather than build from the stl files.

Sorry to hear you've had issues slicing these files. I usually check all my files before uploading them but checked them again due to your issues. I design in Rhino (which includes a mesh checker) and, having rechecked the meshes today, haven't found any issues with them. The check I run shows no errors.

Having said that, some software picks up things that others don't have an issue with which appears to be the case here. I'm not sure having the design files will be if use as you would need to have Rhino. If you do let me know...

u should make this parametric

Thanks for the positive feedback... it is a handy thing particularly for the first time you pull something apart. Women also like it to display their rings etc. as it makes selecting what to wear easier.

Really awesome clever design
