Did anyone else have problems slicing "side 2"?
I am getting bad layers (using Slic3r) with only part of the layer (so not connected to above) and parts that just stop after a particular height (while the rest is still there). Or could something have happened to the Side 2 file?

Could you share the source for this? I've been wanting to do a modified version that actually has a burning laser installed (but have had a tough time making the model from scratch).

I just took it from the parent document and manipulated the STL. The guy who posted the parent told me he got it from the Google 3D warehouse, but you might ask him for specifics.

If you're using Slic3r, the extra perimeters when required (or whatever it's called) may help with some of the holes on shallow horizontal curves

Good tip. I have that set. I am about 1/4 way through this spool and my guess is it is time to remeasure the filament as I am probably slightly underextruding compared to the start of the roll.

funny, I had the same idea as i saw ="thingiverse-740910b11f8b9294f49f8842bd3527fb:disqus" href="http://disqus.com/thingiverse-740910b11f8b9294f49f8842bd3527fb/fluhartyml's version in the morning.

now it should be a easy print. thank you both!

The model looks great and I have some of one side printed. Will let you know how it comes out (although I'm printing in red which is going to be ugly. It is funny, just last week I mentioned on G+ and Twitter that there were no phasers on Thingiverse! Thanks!

Hoping they make it to ComiCon.
