i didnt see any pins for the elbow in m download.. Great model! im 80% done with printing the parts!

Would it be possible to get the waist as a separate file from the hip parts?

Not sure if you got this figured out or not. It appears I had two files with the name "waist" I deleted the old one. If you were not able to get to it. you should be able to now. If not try going into the 'Thing files' tab and locating the correct file there and clicking on it.

I just posted up new files. It is there.

So sad, because this is such a beautiful model, but too much effort put into telling makers how it should be oriented and supported, etc. Legs should be printed straight up and not supported. I really hope this design is re uploaded as separate pieces <3

While I disagree with how the legs should be oriented for print (they will snap like a dry twig if printed standing up), I have added the parts with no built in supports.

Have fun!

Good job designing the articulated limbs! I'm now tempted to also remix the legs to allow the knees to move as well.

Thanks for the hard work it took to make this, printing one now.

Very nice design, are the joints posable or fixed?

Is there any updates on the no support version of this? I was planning on making a 2x size version of this which means the "supports" are bigger as well which aren't really easy to remove. Also I noticed one small thing, the rivets on his chest need t be on the lower part. So they resemble a upside down obtuse angle instead of a line.

Parts with no supports are added. Sorry it took so long.

Wonderful design...Thanks for uploading it

Can you upload a "no supports" version? Those solid supports are really hard to take off and leave some nasty scars...

Other than that, great job!!

NO support files uploaded!

Great design but putting solid supports are a bad idea ( in general ). Because it is really hard to remove and needs a lot of work afterwards.
Also why are the files are massive ?
Apart from these 2 , it is really a great design and after cleaning it properly. Model moves really good.

Sorry to say that something seems to be wrong with the supports you included in the model.

You can see the supports in Cura, but in the Layer view they are not shown.

Netfabb free also finds some issues in most of the files and tries to repair them, but with no result.

Do you have any idea?

Files with no support added!

You may want to change your minimum wall thickness or your extrusion width I am not sure what it is called in Cura. I had a similar problem with another model on here and that fixed the problem.

Thanks for your answer! I've tried every possible extrusion width with every nozzle i have: 0,25/0,4/0,6/0,8/1

Every time one part of the support appears, another part vanishes... :)

It's really strange, but it MUST be a problem with Cura, because in every 3D-Program i have the supports are definitely there.

I will test other slicers over the weekend...

I used simplify 3D and had the same problem but just with the legs. The model loads with the pre-made supports but when I look at the sliced model they are gone so for just the legs I turned on auto supports and it printed fine. Good luck!

So, after all most of the parts came out fine. The only problematic part were - as you said - the legs. I had to use the auto support too, which left quite some scarring... but nothing a few minutes of sanding couldn't fix.

Another solution would be to print the legs in two halfs (via cut off) and glue them together.

Nonetheless: thank you for a really beautiful model! If you would give the legs real balljoints it would be a real alternative to the 300,- Statue that hits the market in two months! ;)

Yeah. I was rushed in finishing the model and my friend didn't think his son would care. I was not happy to need to rush it and was not happy with how the legs turn out. I would love to get back to finishing this model but have not found ample time. There is some difficulty in making this work. The hip joints are already a weak point...I hope to get back to this some day. I just don't see it happening soon.

I am working on a replica of the Hard Light rifle from Destiny with working LEDs Sound and a Laser out the nozzle. I hope to be posting it up in the next few months.

I am bit busy currently, but if you can check back in later I will get those up.

My dude, any update on the no supports version?

No support files uploaded!

Can you make a file that doesn't exceed 25 MB?

Sorry, for the delay. All necessary files are now below 25mb
