Hello and thank you for the design! I was curious if you would be able to provide a deeper cover? I am using TMC2208 drivers (with tall heatsinks and UART control wires) and they stick up a bit high and won't clear the cover. I like the simple look but unfortunately my design skills are lacking and I can't reproduce the design well enough to make the edit. I was hoping since you had the original files, you might be able to add a deeper cover. :)

If not, that's cool, but I figured I would ask!

-William

Sorry, not at this time. This is a pretty old file and I am not sure how parametric I made it. I kinda have my hands full at the moment.

Love the design, any chance there's one this style for the Mini-Rambo 1.3 ?

Thanks!

No, but that is a great Idea. I need to work on that ASAP.

That would be awesome, other cases for the mini rambo don't come anywhere close to this design! Printing the last part for my mpcnc right now! Can't wait to put it all together!

Thanks, cool thing to hear for sure.

I have a similar angular style just about done. I will print up the set first thing in the morning. If it works and looks good I will post them.

The cabels conectors was difrent on The board and lcd display so just turn them around and now fits with 2mm marginal to The cover.
Hade no idé that The conectors were diffrent

The parts fits perfect and Rampsboard asvell The only thing is the 2 lcd cabels that hits The cover and make it impossible to put it together. I like The box so going to solder The lcd cabels to make it fit.

Thanks for god work

I always have the LCD cables on there should be plenty of room I have them on in the pictures even. Are you using a different cable?
You can post pics in my forums and we can get you sorted out.

Very well done. However it pinches the LCD monitor cables (not a big deal) and bends and breaks the large orangish fuses to the bottom of the board. Very aggravating. Any solution to that. Re-soldered 3 times and just ordered 3 to replace the 2 and have a back up.

put some pictures up in the forums on vicious1.com. I don't think you have it seated right. The polyfuses should not hit and the lcd cable has plenty of room

Ted, Where do you plug in the fan on the Ramps board? Does it run only when the motors are energized? it looks like there's not a lot of space between the fan and its cover. Is there much airflow?

Drew

I plug it directly into the power plug, always on.

Flow seems good I overdrive that ramps just to test it and it seems fine.

Very nice design, I love it when a bit of style is mixed with function!

Just a pinch of style, but that's all my analytical mind could muster up.

Just really bored of all the boxes for the ramps and needed something for all the crud this machine can kick out when you get lazy with the vacuum.

Sleek and functional. Is this the look for rev2?

No I doubt it, this has way more "style" then I am used to designing into anything. I'm more of a function first designer. I was leaning more towards thermo-formed covers for rev 2.
I do want to make a matching case for the full graphic lcd.

Any idea when Rev 2 might be ready for release? I am wanting to make a MPCNC, would v2 be worth waiting for?

Not anytime soon maybe February if I get some down time. And as far as i can tell it should be just new plastic. Maybe some hardware. I can't come up with anything crazy just some minor adjustments. If anything changes, I would offer an upgrade kit if possible.

Interesting design, very different than ones currently available.
Nice touch with the keyshot rendering video.

Thanks, too bad the shadow came out so bad. I couldn't get a good single render or picture so I had to animate it to get my point across.
