I generated simple mini Ten Commandment tablets to go inside the Ark and posted here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3309817.

Can you make Ark_Top_Lid_Only_Top in one part?

This thing is a remix from this one that has the top part all in one piece. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:117760

Ark of the covenant (Indiana Jones inspired)

I know it. But I need a lid without angels. Not in two parts.

Well I suggest you take a 3D design class or something. I've literally provided every single thing to make this thing as printable as possible. You do know what "glue" is right? There's a reason I split the top into 2 pieces it's because it will literally NOT print well without support.

Also, I'm not sure what you are actually asking for? Just print both halves of the lid without the angels and print them separately. 25 other people have printed this without any problems and I've printed at least 10 of them on my 6 year old Makerbot Thing-O-Matic.

Awesome! I'll have to check that out the next time I need to paint something gold.

Excellent! Thanks for sharing that.

Thanks for putting together such a great project!
I have everything printed except for the Top Cherubs, I am having a problem with that. I have tried the connected and not connected but I get errors in Slic3r and it looks like there are holes in it or missing "triangles", etc.. Any ideas? What am I doing wrong? I get errors for the Cherub files whether I use Slic3r or KISSlicer?

Sorry this response is so late but have you tried running it through the Netfabb cloud?

Thanks MacGyver for this model!

I used it in my latest upload:

Interesting idea! Thanks for the link back to my thing.

is the box hollow? Its hard to tell from the photos if the "bottom" is at the bottom.

Yes it is hollow. You can use "Thingview" to rotate the model around.

Shame the angels are not just one... because they are identical and one fits better.

I actually have a version of the cherubs that are connected. I've just uploaded the stl for you. Good Luck!

Thank you - but I was saying too bad they is not just one - not connected. a single Angel (thanks again)

I've uploaded a single cherub stl for you. Hopefully that is what you are asking for.

Thank you! That is exactly what I need!

That and I wanted to scale it ;)

The longest time to print something! 8 hours to print the bottom!? It's still cool as heck...

i can't download for printing either there since yesterday it's been like this

Glad to know it's not just me with the problem. Posted on the Tinkercad Google group about it, however, my post was the first post ever on that group so I doubt it will be seen anytime soon.

hi I'm dr who john smith from tinkercad i commented on it there look more amazing here.

The one on Tinkercad I was trying to add some tabs to the bottom because I've had slight lifting problems in the past. However, for some reason Tinkercad won't let me download anything for 3D printing. Hopefully they'll have that fixed soon.

How did you have your settings for the seraph on the top of the ark? Those overhangs are pretty severe.

I used exterior support with a raft. I printed with 1 shell at .20mm layer height. When I do it again I'll probably print with 0 extra shells because the wings kind of came out hollow.

Favorite. Thing. Ever.

Jones, do you realize what the Ark is? It's a transmitter. It's a radio for speaking to God. And it's within my reach

Eaton: What does this Ark look like?Jones: There's a picture of it right here. That's it.Eaton: Good God.Marcus: Yes, that's just what the Hebrews thought.Musgrove: Uh, now, what's that supposed to be coming out of there?Jones: Lightning...fire...power of God or something.Eaton: I'm beginning to understand Hitler's interest in this.Marcus: Oh, yes. The Bible speaks of the Ark leveling
mountains and laying waste to entire regions. An army which carries the
Ark before it...is invincible.

Between @MacGyver and @thingiverse-ecb78e3b1dd950b9621f548bcc02dbe9 it's good to know Thingiverse has top men working on this model.

Top... men.

Cool! I've always liked their version of the Ark of the Covenant better than any others I've seen.

Thanks for cutting it up
My workflow is using really old software and as such making consistent
sized things is difficult.
Thanks again.
