Super new to 3d printing, where should I wire my cooling fan?

Just printing now. I noticed no one have posted a picture on the makes of the new version. I'll do one when I make it. 20% to go. I did notice the print slow down the last 50/60%. I am new to 3D printing so this might be normal, just thought I would mention it.

I think the X end stop can just be tilted up out of the fans way from the looks of it.

Thanks very much for the design.

Are you aware that your new version isn't manifold? Of course, we can fix it but you may want to publish a working model.
Thanks. I'll be using it.

I've netfabbed it and re-uploaded. Thanks for the heads up.

Why don't you have the nozzle and fan in the front?
If it was in the front, instead of off to the side, you wouldn't have to worry about it hitting anything on the left or the right.

I suppose it would block the other fan attached to the extruder, but it looks like it would still get plenty of air.

I've redesigned it just in the last week to be less likely to interfere with the binder clips. Check out the new version.

Find or better yet make your own design then. Then post it on here for all of us to critique.

I've been using this mount since I found it about 2 months ago and it works great with the ABL probe too. Doesn't hit anything on the left or right. Can't recommend it enough. Thanks.

Primarily because I like to watch my prints in progress! That's why I decided to do it to the side. Didn't want my view obstructed!

I've tried similar schemes for cooling fans but if they hang to one side, they greatly restrict your X axis limits AND if you use a glass plate, they will gladly strip your clips off! :)

I've just redone the funnel to be much less likely to strip off your binder clips. Check it out!

Yes I agree that these are both potential issues. In my case I've got mine adjusted so that neither of these potential issues is a problem. Had to play with the clips a bit to ensure they don't get stripped off!

Yes, taking the 'handles' off of the clips and putting them front and back I think would help the stripping off problem. How did you get around the X axis interference with the X and Z endstops?

I've put up another photo that shows them all fitting together without interfering. Good question.

That clears things up! Thanks!

I've redone the funnel with a wider mouth. I believe it works better than the narrow-mouth funnel. Have fun! If for some reason you still need the narrow-mouth funnel, email me and I'll send you the stl. Honestly, though, this wider-mouth funnel is much better and that's the reason I've removed the narrow-mouth tunnel.
