I had problems with the corners warping, and removed the rounded corner on the underside which made the first layer be smaller than the following ones. It seems to have fixed the issue.

Also, I noticed there is quite a bit of loose and started printing them at 99% to 98% size. 98% seems too tight but I file the interlocking snaps gently, and a little filing goes a long way.

I've printed out a couple of these, and they fit really loose. The tab is a great deal smaller than the slot. Any chance there'll be a fix? I can still use them, will just have to make some shims.

Other than that, I love these. Best border pieces on here.

hmm, they printed fine for me, but sometimes differences in slicers and printer can cause sizes to be a little off. You could try to increase the extrusion multiplier a little or scale the model a up a little.

I tried to download this 3 times and every time I had problems with the straight piece. The file kept saying that it was 0 bytes and could not be opened in anything. I made sure that the file completed downloading. Also is it possible to break the corner piece down the middle into two pieces. My printer has a very small print bead and it's too big.

That's odd it still downloads fine for me. Maybe try a different browser. Give me your email in a private message, and I'll email it to you.

I can slit the large part done the middle, but it will be a clean break, so you'll have to glue it together. I don't have time right now to design the same snap feature that are one the ends.

I have the same issue as CodedGames, in that the corner piece is fine, but the straight piece shows as 0 kb. I've tried downloading the file in different browsers with no success. As i have already printed the corners i am very keen to also print the straight bits as well...

Ok, i understand now that the issue is when you click the "download all files" the zip that gets downloaded has the 0 kb straight piece. However, i could download the straight piece STL file directly from the "thing files" tab and there it is fine.

Corner pieces seem to slice fine, but the straights don't seem to, took a look at the .stl in sketchup and it appears the rounded corners don't actually have a face. Have you successfully printed these yet?

Hi Slannesh,

I printed these a couple of weeks ago, and they sliced fine. I redownloaded the .stl and opened it in Cura and solidworks and the models show all their faces. You could try to redownload it or try another slicing program. I could try to send it to you in another file format as well, just let me know what works for you.

Yup, must have been a corrupted download. Did it again, sliced fine.

Thanks for these tiles by the way, should be the last thing I need to have a fully 3D printed Catan board :)

I'll give it another try with a different slicer, hadn't run into this issue before and didn't see any makes for it yet... I love the idea though, I'm just finishing up the prints to do the main game and Seafarers tiles, just water and borders left to do! Unfortunately the borders from the tiles set are too big for my print bed (20cm x 20cm) which is what led me to yours in the first place.

Also, If you need some boats for seafarers, be sure to check mine design out: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1008456

3D Catan Boat / Ship for Seafarers Expansion

Already printed one of these to use as my Pirate for Seafarers, my set didn't come with one :)

That's great to hear it's working now. I just uploaded some pictures of my test fit in the "I Made One" area. Let me know how yours turn out
