no one write how many pieces they need , i have 4 printer on this project for fun m do all the parts 4 times , am sure i can do 2 if some parts need to be print 2 times , after , just need to print the missing part to do he last 2 , to give in gift , i come back maybe with parts list if i can .

would love some kind of instructions with this, have started printing frame, although its square in the but in the design file its rounded? seems more like a warp/cloth beam than a frame. i also want to know if you just pieced the heddle together with the heddle frame

This is great.
Was going to reverse engineer one from the pictures on the net as paying like $300 for a new one is outrageous.
Why you decided to do the rolling on top?
Doesn't it makes it harder the longer the material?
I plan to use wood for the sides and other easy parts but will use the printer for the more complex parts.

This is terrific! I thought I was going to have to make the heddles myself. Have a good one and good weaving. I am making the frame out of a kids stool. very sturdy. :)

Nicely done. what is the weaving width, and is that a 5 dent reed?

When are you going to add instructions for printing this thing? I would like to print one for myself but I don't like guessing how many of each piece I need to print

I'm new to this whole 3D printing thing. I found out about this loom on Facebook. Can anyone recommend a 3D printer service in Western Washington or where I can bring this to have the heddle, ratchets, pawls and shed blocks printed? The frame is easy enough to make out of wood. Any idea of the cost for printing these parts? If it's too expensive then I can purchase them elsewhere but the idea of 3D printing them is just too cool.

You should try finding a makerspace in your area chances of them having a 3d printer are good.

Hi I've been printing the parts to this loom. Can you post simple instructions on assembly? Also, is it safe to assume you print 1 of each part and 2 sets of the sides?

Very nice! I've been hoping to build my own version of a knitting-loom in the future. I hope someone automates this with some servos! :D

i would love to have an automated tube-knitting-heddle-loom. for example we could make experimental coils using thin wires. or making flexible fishing-line tubes for use as cableguides.

This is cool. Have you thought about using metal rods for the frame, combined with printed pieces for the brackets, kind of like the way the reprap Mendel is put together? It would reduce the print time a lot and might make it easier to make and use.

I could see using a PVC plumbing pipe as well for the frame. Just print the 'difficult' parts.

I have always had a thing for looms and it is great to see one here. The whole idea of printing a machine that can make things is great, too.
