Any pointers to the sound FX wav/mp3 files? I didn't see anything in the package?

Hey Nick, just a question on the code. I have put together an Uno and a Shield V2, added the Futaba S3004s to the servo headers and run the code. It seems to only spin a tiny bit with about a 6 second delay between movements. Do I need to modify the code in any way with regards to min/max position, etc ? I'm new to Arduino stuff, so it's a bit of a learning curve !

FWIW I did adjust some of the parameters to increase the "struggling", but that might also have to do with my using the Duelmilenove instead of an Uno

You shouldn't need to modify anything. The servos should only move about 90° from center in either direction. The large servo disk creates a larger movement, so it may seem small when you're only looking at the servo directly.

You can modify the MIN_POS and MAX_POS if it doesn't seem correct. The MIN_TIM and MAX_TIM adjust the time between loops.

Thanks very much. Interestingly it seems to work more sporadically when plugged into USB. If I power only through the DC connector it runs differently and a bit more as expected. I'll see what happens when it's all rigged together.

Do you need to upscale the discs at all ? Mine are printing at 50mm diameter which gives an inner hole of appx 6mm, and given the instruction of 3/4" pipe for the spine, I reckon the internal hole needs to be about 19mm ?

Sorry, that was some mis-typing. It's actually 3/8" Poly tubing. Fixed!

How's it going getting the code together, and what part are you changing?

Thanks Nick. One last question what is the length of the spine and spacing in between the spine disk?

Mine is 18” long with ~1.5” spacing. You can build whatever works for you, the measurements aren’t super important here.

Any update from the author on code for the Arduino used? Or any other build instructions? Halloween is coming! :)

If you turn it 45°, it should fit on a 120x120, just barely. Uploaded the code and new pulley files.

I would like to see more instructions on how to assemble the servo and etc. How to power the servo.

I just updated the post with some more instructions and photos. Let me know if you'd like additional information. I'm powering the whole thing from an Arduino Uno with the Adafruit Motor Shield. I just use a wall wart with an extension cable to power it.

How are you powering the servos? Arduino?

I tried both Arduino and an RC receiver w/ battery (to allow for manual control). Working on an instructable page for project assembly. Arduino code will be posted there once complete. Like it says above...work in progress.
