It's really awesome and works perfectly, no risk at all

I was about 1/2 through designing one of these when i realized that someone else probably has already made one and someone did... perfect.
printed one at 100% infill, let it sit 24 hrs and throttle barely moved. Tried at 20% with mixed results, held for ~20 mins, removed it and found out it had actually permanently got bent larger, although, i did put it on within minutes of the print finishing. i was impatient.
Fits right on a grom with ~1.2" dia grips. Printed a couple extra and threw them under the seat in case i break it, or out with some friends and they want one.

No more unsafe than any other throttle lock in use, no matter what the design.
My question is: How do you get this around the throttle? I've made two and both have snapped at the hinge end. How solid are you printing these to get them to bend enough at the hinge to go around the handle while still being strong enough to grip tightly?

I use a hair dryer first to soften it, got to the smallest point then put it back. worked like a charm

What do you do with a thing file?

Can we get this as a .stl file?

Come on guys... I've been using one of these for the last 4 years.

The way these work is that you throttle down when you're about to come to a stop which move the lever and then you apply the brake.

It becomes very natural after a short while. Btw this is not a new thing and has been around for years now.

Don't know if you guys against this actually drive motorcycle?
I doubt it since you should have seen these around.

So let's relax with the unsafe this and that, and realize that pretty much anything can be unsafe in the right (or wrong) hands!

Seems totally unsafe to me. But bartek66.. link points to fact there seems to be a market for that.

On the other hand you could use it to pick pickles from a jar....

Very bad design! Where is button 'dislike' here?
In case of emergency braking, lever will move throttle up.
In case you felt down, bike will continue its wild uncontrol trip, and may hurt somebody.

Heres what you needhttp://media.meta.ua/files...

You're right, if you make it too tight and fix it firmly on the throttle.
It's intended to slip and close the throttle on braking, users may need to fine tune the size for their motorcycles.
Good point, maybe need more description.
