Hi, is this full scale (“life size” as it were)?

Yes it is. Built for the JAG frame.

Hi. I love this project but could you guide me to where i could find a frame to build to attach the skin n you provided. You can post here or email me at video567@gmail.com thank you

I could say to measure are parts because the habro and leave very small

Do you have the files for the back flap? More than half way through printing this before I realized the back is missing. Thank you!

Thanks for letting me know. I had done them letter and forgot to add them. I just added them. They are back door 1 and 2.

You rock! Thank you so much.

how did you scale this. when I import the stl into replicate host it is super small

All Stl's are in inches. There is a setting to change it to inches.

How would i convert this from inch to mm? i use Cura so when i went to load this it ended up tiny

I'm not sure of a "Better" way, but the easiest is to change the scale from 1 to 25.4

I don't know how to use Cura. Good luck.

Hi -

Are the files for the utility arm panels missing, or am I overlooking these in your files?

I have not added those files yet.

You didn't include the dome, so I assume you didn't make the files. Where did you get the dome from? And did you print it all one piece?

are there arm files somewhere? (or did I miss something)

I have not uploaded the arms because they are not mine. I only load what I draw 100% of.

That is very cool! Do you have dimensions or any information on the chassis itself that these parts fit? Would be cool to try to replicate something like this, although maybe not quite at this scale.

This fits the JAG frame assembly. It has a radius of 8.996.

Hi what scale would it need to fit jag frame as it is very small at present thanks

It shouldn't be small. It is a 1:1 scale in inches. These are the stl file I loaded directly into a dimension printer with no scaling.

oh thanks sorry i thought it would go straight on full size frame as i was hoping to print skin for my r2 unit very nice thanks again
i don't suppose you have stl for coin return?

It should go on straight on. My R2D2 is full size. I have all of the accent pieces done I just stopped adding them to thingiverse. I will try to add them this week.

Hi no they are not full size when loaded in makerware or replicatorg very strange.

yes they are full size your like the third person to say this........ attention everyone please pay attention if your program is set to inches or mm that is the scale problem.

The periscope took some time to do, but I am happy with it. I just downloaded a piece and put it into makerware and scaled it from inches to mm and it looks just fine. Makerware wants everything in mm and I draw everything in inches.

Thats funny i just did exactly the same 20mins ago convert to inches and looked ok put in netfab to cut in workable pieces and now running test print but after using raft and support might be cheaper and quicker to cut hips plastic sheet but i will see how test print goes. shame about your periscope i made one (not 3d printed) about 1 month before i saw yours or i would of used yours instead thanks again

What kind of printer did you print such large parts on?

I printed these pieces on a Dimension 1200es printer. We had 4 printers total. a reprap, 2 makerbots and the Dimension. I try to not use the dimension to much because of the price but it does do a great job .

Those printers are outa my league! They are cool though. :)
Are the STLs included All of the skin pieces? Will they cover the whole cylinder?

Nice, looks like you are making a computer chasis :) That would be fun to put on the desk.
