What species "dinosaur" is this?

it took some searching but it is Deinonychus.

;( can down load it.. but it wont import into sketchup.. no idea why... ;(

This came out brilliantly on my Makerbot Replicator. I printed it at 85% of maximum possible height for the Replicator, in a vertical position, with a raft and full support. To finish, I rubbed a little acetone over the outside by hand to smooth out the printing ridges and make it a little more bone-like.

By the way, cyborg527, where on earth did you get this scan? It is extremely cool.

what is the scale of this, this seems VERY tiny!

was the original stl in meters and imported as mm?

This should be a good print for my animatronic projects! thanks!

Yea you're going to need to scale it before you print it. It's down to a 1mm scale so you can pretty much pick out any even number to scale it up to. Cheers.

It's scaled at 1mm long - VERY tiny indeed! I plan to bump it up 100x for a nicely sized desktop dino.

Thanks for the cool model! Was this a Digimorph specimen? I'm very interested in scanned bio models, and was perusing their collection recently, but the lack of a good search for 3d data turned me away. If it's from someone else, point me their way!
