By the way: The helix turns the wrong way!
Every DNA-Helix but Z-DNA (which you get under high salt conditions -> extremely unusual in living cells) turns right.

I haven't looked at this too closely, but what is the length of the bridge? Also would that print well on an UM2, or does it need to be scaled down to reduce bridge length. Thanks.

should I print fast for the bridges without support or slow? I would say fast because then the connection has less time to drop before the other end is reached....
any hints or tips for that?
I have a UP! mini so less setting tweaks possible...:)

The bridging came out nicely on my Makergear M2. (and I don't have much experience yet so that was on default settings). A bit of wispiness between rungs, but I probably had it on a bit hot.

very nice! thank you. printed with Prusa, 0.3mm layer height, two small fans.

don't know why Slic3r made the first layer of every bridge starting from the middle, so from the air...
(nothing a good file can't repair ;)

how would you even print this without support??

It's possible with the correct bridging calibration.

Perfect! I was hoping I'd find a DNA model to play with, and its even got solidworks sources! I want to make a DNA pendant like the one on thinkgeek, so this will be a great starting place. Thanks!

Print carefully? Print sloooooooowly and as cool as possible, hehe. Leaning tower of DNA much? This will be fun to dial in, I am still working on it

Thanks!
