fingers never print correctly. Ultimaker 2+

When I bring this into Cura, I first have to rescale the model because of the unit conversion issues. No Problem. Then I realized it already has supports built into the model, so I disable support. However, Cura does not put him on the build plate. He's floating in the air. By default Cura drops items down to the build plate, but for some reason this model floats in mid air. Can someone regenerate him ?

I can't seem to print this without the model falling over during printing, or the arms moving out of position. It messes up on the fingers as well.

Can this be used with 0 infill so I can use a flexible filament?

I'm gonna try this in Vase mode in Simplify3D! Should work.... I hope lol

Just finished this for my little sister! Had to scale it up but it did finish without a hand... still looks great!

Came up for me tiny when I opened the file?

Same here. I had to increase it like 3-4000% to make it somewhat reasonable to print. Probably an error in units that it was designed. I'm guessing he/she designed it in a metric (mm) environment but made everything in inches without actually converting up. Bassically they thought it was 1in when it was actually 1mm

yeah, the model was designed in Inches. I am a black sheep among 3d Printers, because I do everything in inches. I model in inches all day for work so it carries over.

So basically the reverse of what I said. modeled in Inches and then either when exported to STL or when imported to Thinigiverse 1 inch became 1mm

stupid question...how did you get the top to fill in with 0% infill?

I got lucky? I think the makerbot had pretty good bridging.

how long did it take

Made this for my son...
He loves it
Thanks for taking the time to sculpt it!
