I've been messing with electronics software and computers all my life. Built a SWTPC 6800 at age 18. A friend and I drove to the twin cities (Minnesota) to look for computer stores. There were just a couple in 1977/78. I've worked as a software developer and an electronics technician in the past. Now I work in the medical field -- a change of pace and all the rest is now a hobby--It's a lot more fun that way. I've got a few apps available for IOS, and have been enjoying working in Unity3d. Discovered 3d printing about a year or so ago after stumbling upon James Bruton on Youtube (xrobots.co.uk) making a 3d printed Alien Cosplay suit. While I'm not particularly interested in Cosplay or movie props, James has and continues to do very interesting and imaginative things with 3d printing. I ended up purchasing a Lulzbot Kittaz. . Truly enjoyed putting together a kit again, too bad they don't sell a kit version of their printer anymore. I'm very excited about the possibilities of 3D printing. Congratulations if you've made it this far - apparently you need a 3d printer. Also check out some of my web pages including markziemer.net - my personal website with vacation photos, or markziemerapps.com for my iOS apps.
About the cover photo - Split Rock Lighthouse on the cliffs of the north shore of Lake Superior. This photo was taken from the scenic overlook along the highway. One of the many state parks along the north shore in Minnesota. Well worth the stop if you're in the area.
