BJD made in the image of the character Chachamaru Karakuri from the manga "Negima". Printed to 1/3 scale.
The arms are deliberately scaled up by 10% as the character was a fighter. As I do not have organic CAD software experience, I have to use basic scaling, meaning I cannot change the dimensions without also scaling the balls and sockets. As a result, the socket is now oversized for the hands, but I considered that not an issue.
Additional seams are added / deliberately left visible, as the character was a doll like robot. It also helps during printing as it add large flat surfaces for the prints to lay on during print.
Definitely a fun project, and it makes me want to dwell deeper into the BJD hobby
Various. 20% for large parts, 40% for hands and feet
Was made with an unknown brand of PLA filament (came with the printer, and I was tying to use it all up), and it had platform adhesion and surface finish problem that better material might not have.
