Printed in Wood PLA, sanded, stained in ebony, and finished with a light wax. Turned out really well. Used as an award for my son's Eagle Scout Court of Honor.

Tree supports in Cura provided a much better support structure, used less filament, and cut down print time by a few hours. I encountered one failure of a support cracking and I lost a little segment of the eagle's "collar". I cropped that section of the print, and printed upside down, then glued it to the main model. It left a minor seam-line, but the great thing about wood filament prints are that the layer lines and imperfections appear like wood-grain.
