I installed this mod on my anet a8 after having to return a fauly E3D v6, but I was fond of the bowden setup and the speed benefit. The mount took a bit of finessing to get it to go on right, the holes for the linear sliders had to be drilled out a bit more because it was binding ever so slightly before. Also, all the other holes are slightly too small for M3 screws, but a 1/8in drill bit took care of that, no biggy. I also ditched the custom ptfe holder for a proper pnuematic fitting as I had some laying around that fit my extruder block. I decided to mount the cooling fan slightly crooked because it was pointed more directly at the nozzle that way. Overall, a good design. The second features shows that I have mounted the extruder motor on top of my custom lack enclosure. I've had about 48 hours of printing so far and there appears to be no sag or drooping of the mounts, which is good because it is just white pla, even inside my enclosure. (Which with my current settings sits at about 80f when printing pla. I did not use the linked fan holder as I already had one. I did print it, however, the holes are too closely spaced and it didn't line up when fitting the extruder block, so i used my original I had lying around. Also, I may consider a BLtouch upgrade soon for bed leveling, would you mind creating a mount for it that would fit my existing carriage? Either that, or I may try my hand at designing one. If i do, I'll leave a link in the comments. And yes, I know I have tits on top of my printer. Deal with it.
