Anet A6 - Frankenstein (E3D v6 / Volcano)
Made by Lazerkill, uploadedDescription
Beautiful piece of engineering! I haven't ordered my extruder yet but here are the photos of the assembled printed parts. Some feedback:
-Clearances were a little off. Probably a printer profile issue on my end. Some light TLC with a brass hammer was need to get the hotend holder into the carriage. Fairly sure it is seized now. Also, a couple of the M3 bolts didn't thread into the plastic like they should have. Too loose.
-The ridges where the two halves of the carriages come together clearly weren't designed with 0.6mm nozzle in mind. The 0.8mm wall was kind tricky to pull off and still get the parts to fit together.
-Thank you for uploading the solidworks source files! I wish more people did that. I could make little changes where necessary for my printer so much easier than would've been possible with STLs alone.
Again, great work!
