Had some minor struggles with these but eventually got them sorted...
First time printing PETG. It's easy and prints just as nice as PLA.
Boyfriend somehow broke one of the hinges?? LOL. Now that we have the enclosure, though, we could go ahead and print new hinges made of nylon which would be a bit sturdier than PETG...
BTW if this helps anyone, a trip to Home Depot yielded the following:
12" x 24" x .093" Lexan x 2 = $31.96 (@ $15.98 ea.)
18" x 24" x .093" Lexan x 3 = $68.94 (@ $22.98 ea.)
cut the Lexan (polycarbonate) on a bandsaw to get it the right sizes. There were definitely some pretty wide gaps, which I intend to plug with some sort of high temperature clear caulk material.
Also could not find the neodymium magnets at Homie Depot. The magnets they sell aren't really strong enough so I need to order those, an LED strip, and smoke detector on the intarwebz.
PS: The spool holders aren't really the right width. I printed an adjustable one, but it still doesn't fit some of my spools. Ended up separating it and making the other end "free floating" and I haven't had any issues yet with spools flying off the top of the topmost Lack table....
