Modified the locking ring so that I could print without suppports.
Worked mostly fine, except:
- My quick-and-dirty modification didn't adjust the shapes for straight bridging, so I have some hanging loops.
- I increased the height of the "spring ring" for easy printing, but didn't reduce its width, so the spring is really stiff now!
Should be no problem to fix both these problems in the actual thing, if one takes the time for it.
Printing with 0.3 mm layer height worked fine. I'd probably increase resolution a little for better teeth on the spring ring, but they're perfectly functional in 0.3 mm too.
