tips-for anyone thinking of building one..
im in the uk-best place for the profiles(& price) was motedis-bearings & rods where also cheap & good( i skimmped on the lm 12s & bought chinese-total crap)- however i purchase t nuts & corner brackets (type b) from ali as they where much cheaper (bit sloppy but fitted)
(the sizes in the calculator are the minimum size)i added the 100mm to the bottom of profile for electronics-but my bowden tube sticks up about 100mm over the top of the printer so add at least 200mm to your z-if you want to enclose it. my bl touch hits my z rods at about x280- so add at least 50mm to your x axis. my y axis was ok but i had to move the whole bed assembly forward about 70mm ,as the hotend is 70mm forward of x rails.
I used 28 awg 20 way ribbon cable for fans/endstop &bl touch
i bought a mks s-base-very nice-easy to use once you get into smoothie (50 year old technophobe ere) however-the 3.2" lcd i purchased is not worth it( pretty pic but no real info- stick with a 12864)-& the wifi for the tft plain don't work(i am also sure the tft is causing my printer to occasionally shut down mid print)
