The Spyda 500 is an awesome platform for the new guy, this is my second 3D printed quad drone that I have made in as many months. The simplistic design (2 main parts) allows for any kind of flight controllers and cameras to be mounted. Please excuse the video it was filmed with a 720 GoPro Hero HD 1 hard mounted but you came get the gist of how it handles. Naza M V2, gains for everything are set at 100 for this flight and seems to fly smooth, also ran 8” props. I tried 10” props at first and it flew ok but ran battery down quicker (3s) and wobbled when it got closer to end of 6 minute flight. With 8”ers on I can get 9-12 minute flights and they are stable throughout. I am using the new Flysky Underground Nirvana radio, LOVE IT! Photo shows RunCam mounted on my own custom mount I designed in Freecad, waiting on replacement parts for RunCam so I haven’t mounted it quiet yet. I will upload STL file for mount as soon as I get home to my laptop. Thanks and enjoy.
