I've "upgraded" the design by BouncyMonkey to a RC controlled motorized version in G-scale (1:22.5, 45 mm rails). https://youtu.be/xgPICGlM1NQ
Thanks for sharing your excellent design and the nice words.
The motor is fitted in the long "cental motor detail". A hole the size of a small geared motor is made, alligned to a geared axle. Amongst others, the cross-members and the car frame are tweaked a bit to make this all fit.
The RC receiver is mounted under the floor at the rear. In the crate I've quickly fitted a battery, step-up-converter and ESC-module.
To finalize this fun project, I need to tidy up and make a cover for the electronics, find and fit a suitable driver, and print some of your mine carts.
If anybody is interested in my 45mm track version of the "Vintage Railcar", please let me know.
That looks fantastic! I'm guessing the RC gear is in the crate on the back.
