Quick fix for my CR-10S extrusion issues. Mirrored the design for a better fit.
Black PETG, used Slic3r supports since the build in ones in the model didn’t slice well in the recent Slic3r versions.
Thanks for sharing ;)
It's the first time I see it on a CR-10/Tornado 3d printer model.
Does it needs specific adjustments to be done that should lead to a new version ?
I mirrored the model since I wanted the idler on the other side. I was a bit worried about the idler perhaps hitting the Z frame, might have been ok but didn't want to risk it (particularly since I went with the longer idler). Because the pully is on the other side of the filament I also had to reverse the E direction in the firmware. I didn't need to actually change the model itself though.
I had trouble with the built in supports for some reason, Slic3r Prusa Edition 1.40.1 unhelpfully disappeared parts of it so I just went with built in Slic3r support with a very small angle to it put in pretty much the same areas and not in the holes.
Thanks for a great model, I found it reading about the very cool DICE mini printer and thought it was a neat looking extruder. When my CR-10S stock one was giving me loads of grief I thought I would give it a try and it worked great.
