10/10 design, seems super friggin stable. still need to test it.
Nice! Did you test it?
I believe i printed them straight up with 4-5 walls and like 20% infill. Just run the print a little hot and it should be more than sturdy enough. It doesn't really get a LOT of pressure considering it's just holding in place, frankly the Z axis really doesn't move all that much. As for the cable issue, I have my CB to the left of it and it fits, barely, but it does. Extension cords I'm sure would make it easier if need.
Should I print these standing up or laying flat? I started printing them lying horizontally on the bed and forgot about the interior overhangs so restarted printing vertically. I'm worried about strength.
Did you have any issues with the cable to the heated bed against the new support rod?
I anticipated this so I bought the CR-10 extension cable set on ebay from a US seller so I got it within a few days:https://www.ebay.com/itm/Creality-Extension-Cable-Kit-for-CR-10-CR-10S-3D-Printer-Factory-direct/263332643107
I just found this (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2798484) last night and I'm thinking about giving it a shot instead of just ordering extensions.
Then again the extensions would help me in my eventual switch to a custom case.
That is perfect! The only thing is that you see how close he has his control box to the printer for the cable to reach. I may try this as well but will be use the extension.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_7JeFNg4FyA
