This lamp is proof that with some (other people's) artistic creativity you can make some very pretty things with 3d printers.
I chose the Da Vinci Jr. Clear PLA's for translucence.
To make it print right on this imprecise but friendly printer: I shrank the base by 3%, and increased the size of the candle holder by 3%, now the threads work and it all screws together. I used the hollow lampshade remix that Loubie refers to in her text. Even translucent PLA it's needs a little more than a tea-light worth of candle. I used the version of the base with the 7mm hole and will shortly drill the candle holder so I can run power up to a more powerful LED. It's pictured with an actual tea-light sized candle.
