Pla 0.3mm layer Hight with a -ED3v6 -0.4mm Nozzel- default layer width 0.5mm using Repetier and Slic3r-
Can do 75degs Perfecly - 80degs gets a slight swelling in the right leading edge - 85degs and 90gegs are a mess,
hello again dear friend
Thank you for last advise.
I've printed this sample but the problem was the number of degree on the surfaces of this geometry. I try to import the sample to solid works for editing those number and remove them but it didn't import to solid works. do you have the solid works file of this sample?
THANK YOU. The first time I have printed this sample but got a mess for more than 60 degs.
how about infill? Is it important in this test-angle sample?
60Degs is good,,, Most people have a hard time with anything over 45Degs—Filament temperature Vs Printing Speed becomes very important- ( to Cold and the Extruder will Jam & Too Hot will Give Sagging ) the Cooling Fan because a problem causing Lip Curl on the Leading Edge when the Angle gets” very Steep” - it start to became a Trial and Error Process,, Make sure Wright down your Results as you go,,, The Records you keep will be important for Future Reference
I rarely Print my Perimeters speed over 30mm/sec and my infill at 70mm/sec you Could probably fit your Printer on my Mainbed,,,, so I am throwing a lot of weight around – but slow is good
Infill %% is important as the Angle get Steeper – 50% is a good allrounder on most steep Angles but upto 100% for some Parts Like a WormGear that must be Strong and has Very Steep Angles
Thank you for your good information. May I let me know what's the "default layer width 0.5mm " exactly, please? and in which program I can find it? slic3r, cura?
Hello,,, I use Slic3r within Repetier and the Slic3r Standalone Platform if I want more control – it’s not in Cura
Use the” Configure” tab in Repetier to bring up the settings Menu for Slic3r..
Use the “Print Settings” Tab next to “Plater” if your using the Standalone Slic3r
Between 0.1mm and 0.3mm Layer Hight works well with a 0.5mm Layer Width and
you can drop it to 0.45 "or" 0.4mm when using 0.1mm layer height for fine detail on small objects,,
Hello again dear friend
Do you know where can I find Repetier for download, please?
in advance thank you.
I really, really appreciate you. You have been very helpful.
Wow so clean! Your printer and slicing is very well dialed in!! :) Cheers, -Greg
