Printed in PLA (light blue and red) and PETG (darker blue) with a Qidi Tech 1. Sliced in S3D with two halves as provided: ~40 mm/s, 210C, and 35% infill. I sectioned the print into 4 parts, where the most vertical sections printed at 0.18 and 0.25 mm layer heights, and at the top where the internal overhang was steepest, 0.10 and 0.17 mm layer heights, for PLA and PETG, respectively. The two halves were glued together with super glue, and the light blue one I further sealed the seam with a 3D pen with the same filament.
I've been printing a bunch of ocarinas the past few days and testing them out, simultaneously driving my wife nuts. For practical purposes, this one is fairly easy to play and has a decent range (1 octave). The PETG one has an earthier but airy tone to it, where the PLA is a little bit sharper. I think the PETG may be the way to go by optimizing the print around the air way (to help with the airy tone), but they all work well for the whole range and are fun to play.
