Didn't you put the dent on on purpose? The paintjob is great but the lack of the dent is crucial for a Boba Fett helmet. Other than that great job m8
You maybe notice that the Source File aint have a dent either.
At the time I was making the Helmet I didnt had the skills to make one by myself but I thinking of making a Version two.
Awesome man, make sure to post that as well. I'll be doing one as well as soon as I get my 3D printer :)
Incredible job ! What did you use for the visor material and how did you secure it? Also what type of auto body filler did you use?
Visor is Acrylglas securet with hot glue,
body filler is standart kfz body filler from the hardware store
amazing paint job! how did you weather the silver and gray?
using mustard or a jelly?
I uset Stencils and Masking Fluid
which file u used for printing?(repaired or revisited etc?)
which is correct 30 piece
what scale did you print at?
Sorry to bother, but what circumference head would that be for? Mine is about 23.5 inches (big melon)?
My head is about 22.8 inches, the helmet is about 29.5 inches one the outside.
It think a 135% print should also be fine.
how did you figure out you had to print it at 130%? trying to print my own soon
I print it two times, first try was 150% but it was way to big.
Second try was 130% and it fitted my head pretty nice.
Holy Crap! What are your details for the print? I too have an UM2 and am curious to your printing particulars such as type filament, temp, nozzle size, speed, height, etc. Great paint job!
Thanks it was a lot of work.
I printet everything in PLA 0,2mm height, glue it together with Superglue and addet a layer of body filler on it.
The rest was a lot of sanding.
My Printer settings are pretty much standart, temp 220-230, normal UM2 nozzle, print speed 50mm/s.
Hope I could help a little bit.
how much infill did you use and aprox print time??
