Awesome design. I can't wait to give it to my friend that has this game.
The locking mechanism works fine in any of the five positions, but it doesn't have much friction when it locks.
Glad you like it, I'm really happy with how it came out. Did yours print with a really clean bottom for the top piece? When I print mine it is pretty rough from the supports which leads to a tighter fit.
Aha, I spent some time really trying to clean up that surface since I don't like to see rough faces like that. So I guess that's why mine is a little loose. What tool did you use for designing this? I think the locking mechanism could be modified to not require supports, making it a little easier to remove the scaffolding from the top piece.
I designed it in SolidWorks. I was actually considering making a few adjustments to the top piece in the next few days to make the square pieces in the center easier to get out so I will see if I can make adjustments to the lock to tighten up the tolerances and print it without it any supports.
