ABS 40mm/s 2.5 Layer
All fit well and looks promising, now only the electronics to assembly and test it. I let you know...
What did you use for the probe?
If you mean the tip of the probe i took a M8 screw and machine it on a lathe.
How has this probe worked for you over time? Are you still using it, or have you switched over to something else?
Is worked ok but not for my machine, i had a problem about confusing electronics.
My machine is not GRBL, arduino e.t.c made. I still have it but no time to find what was the problem.
Ok thanks. Trying to decide between build vs buy. This seems to be a popular design from likes and downloads, but I'm having difficulty finding anyone who says they use theirs regularly and love it. Vs the tens of thousands of machinist that use $$$ Renishaw Probes
It depends on what you like to do and what you afford to pay. If i need it for serious work (3d point cloud e.t.c.) definitely i would buy one, if you want just a simple probe to measure your table and machine curved objects this will do the trick.
