TronXY X1 firmware

by WarHawk8080

Found this firmware (remake) on github
https://github.com/dennistimmermann/tronxy-x1_repetier

Downloaded and the only thing I tweaked on it was turning down the #define MAX_JERK 20 settings from 20 to 5, and made the initial name screen say X1 instead of X1 TRMN #define UI_PRINTER_NAME "X1 TMRMN"

Installed the Sanguino board from the link in his how to install
https://github.com/Lauszus/Sanguino

Compiled in Arduino IDE but told it to Export compiled Binary...it generated the .hex files
Used Octoprints firmware upload plugin to flash it to the board
https://github.com/OctoPrint/OctoPrint-FirmwareUpdater

Low and behold it updated...rebooted and came up without issue

Did a test print and it definitely changed how it sounds, but it printed a calimouse absolutely fine

I will include the .hex file here (In fact..I will zip up the repetier directory and include here as well)

Tronxy x1 frimware backup

by NightMind

Hi,
I'm new to 3dPrinting, could you please advise how to backup the stock Repetier-Frimware 0.91 from my TronXY X1 machine? So I could easily restore it after tinkering with other firmwares like Marlin or repetier-firmware 1 ?

x5st-400 - Replacement power supply suggestions?

by tlhIntoq

New April 2019 x5st-400 and the power supplied failed. I like the machine. Its all dialed in. Was making good stuff. And when I went to check on a 10 hour job, 1 hour in, it was just dead and powerless. No telling what happened. No burning smell or fried wiring. Hopefully the main board is good. I'm hoping it just turned off without any surges.

Anyway... I've written Banggood about getting a replacement powersupply or even full printer. Awaiting reply. In the mean time... Can anyone recommend a good, reliable, robust, replacement power supply I should try to insist on - or if they tell me to 'piss off', one I should buy out of pocket?

Duet Wifi

by Itoodummy

Hello! I was wondering if anyone could be kind enough to send a basic profile for the Duet Wifi for my Tronxy x5sa. I didn't do any upgrades that should change any settings. Thanks.

X1 Fails Small Holes/Details

by zeman97

Hello, I got an X1 a while ago and recently started getting back into printing. I started making lots of upgrades (big thanks to the awesome parts community) and have had a much better experience regarding print accuracy and quality. I am now able to print things at original scale and be less than a millimeter off. Despite this, one thing still remains an issue: holes. They come out appearing stringy and under extruded, I've tried slowing the machine, increasing flow rate, tinkering with temp and nothing seems to fix it. As far as I'm concerned, I have no other issues, just holes.

One observation I have made is it appears that the X1 is failing to extrude for the beginning, instead creating a stringy mess, on larger holes this is short and overlapped by the other plastic. I have seen this behavior rarely on walls after travel. I tried reducing and even disabling retraction thinking that was the issue, this did help with the occasional wall issue (I think, again it was rare to begin with), but did nothing for the holes.

I've attached a picture to show what I'm talking about, the hole on the right is for an M2 bolt with a 4mm countersink and the one on the left is for an M3 bolt with a 6mm countersink. As you can see on the left, the material is so poorly extruded, you can see through to the nut on the other side.

Any info about what this problem is called, sources to read about it, things to try, etc. is greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
