I have wanted to print a fast and big CoreXY printer for a while, and I don't mind if I have to adapt some files to my application.
Just because I have it and it is well sturdy and has 3-5 of the six sides already closed I think I shall not worry about building a new frame but I am looking for the right open source platform that can be adapted to this challenge!?
Would you recomend Smartrap and any specific branch of the project?
Most material already has sound dampening applied and I also have most of the hardware already I think...
I am thinking about a special Z axis with a nema 23 driving a platform 4 fold belts and reductions in order to have good hight without having to have very long screws...
The XY as well as extrude should be good with Nema 17 as it is
Thanks for the project and any clues!
I added a link to a little utility delta 'extra hand' idea I invite to...
I would like to start a smartrapcore build.
But i'm kind of lost in the many different designs and remixxes.
Should i build the V1.2 first and later add modifications?
Things i would like to use:
a standard heatbed 220x220
a E3D V6 clone hotend
a ramps 1.4 controller
In the SmartrapCore project on OnShape, I could find the variables to change wood size (default 10mm) and ROD diameter for both motor mounts.....but when I try to load XYBearings (left or right), there's no variable to change/specify wood and ROD diameter. How can I change ROD and wood size for these parts?
