hello guys, new to 3d printing...we have x-pro that was left without use for about 3 months, am checking it today and it appers to not recognise any of our usb flash drives we have unlike it used to.
Am not an expert on network either but we tried connecting it via router to a LAPTOP (WIN 10) and launched a software (qidi print v5.3 latest one from their website) and launched its control panel to try sending a file via WLAN (i know probaly this is not how things get to work on a network!).
Being a layman i tried to control printer movements via qidi print control panel and it worked. Now the issue is immediately upon opening i get 'PRO@x-proFile Empty or sd card is not existent'
and when uploading a file to send to a printer anyway i get 'create fail'
any thoughts on how to resolve USB issue or WLAN connection ?
ive had my xpro for about 2 months now and i love it. But im having trouble printing with pva and i was wondering if anyone has the settings dialed in for pva. Im currently using esun's pva but im open to changing to whatever brand works the best with this printer. I can print pva alright, but it is still messy and it doesnt stick to pla. I attached my profile settings to this post so you can take a look at it and let me know what you think needs to be changed. Any help is much appreciated!
Has anybody gotten the dual color to work well? I keep having problems where the left print head is heating up even though in Qidi Slicer I told it to maintain a 0 temperature when not printing. What happens is it heats up to 200 and stays there during the print, and leaks the other filament onto my print. Is there something I am missing here?
Reposting my post from the QIDI X-Max group:
If you're using Ultimaker's Cura with your X-Max [X-Pro, in your case] you've probably noticed that you don't get the 3D model on the touchscreen, nor an accurate time remaining estimate.
Well, I've found a Cura post-processing script that inserts the 3d model data as well as the estimated print time into the gcode file that will display on the touchscreen.
You can find the script in the github link below. Credit to Spanni26 on github for making this. I've been testing it for over a week now and it has been working well without issue.
I've also added a screenshot of what it looks like on the touchscreen.

I've also founded a QIDI Tech 3D Printer discord to converse with fellow QIDI owners and share resources. I hope it to become an excellent source of QIDI printer information. Hopefully we can discover enough to do as we please with the closed-source hardware and software.
Is anyone else having trouble running Qidi Print 5.3.2 on Windows 10? It's taking minutes to respond to a mouse click. All the other software is working fine. I've sent them an email asking about it; cannot find anything on Google about it, so, it must be something weird with my computer.
Thank you for your advice.
