Had to make a PDF that I have on my drive. thingiverse just bugs too much
edit: does anyone know how to calibrate the e steps?
I dont understand how this extrusion thing works.
for my printer it looks like this
” Extruder Calibration
value of each step of E. This value is equal to the 1/3200
circumference of extruder gear. In addition
When I measure the filament to 120mm and extrude 100m through
“G1 E100 F150”. Im left with 23mm filament.
After some testing, I end up with a setting at S0.01051. After extruding 100mm, im left with 20mm.
However once I start to print anything, it looks EXTREMELY under extruded.
I have no idea how all this owkrs
im in the process of upgrading my extruder to a BMG and hotend to V6.
Will upgrade more later, maybe motherboard to a DUet2wifi and some cable management instead of the thin cable where the clips break. (they broke on the first day).
Anyway, i need some help with firmware.
The BMG extruder is 3-1 gear ratio.
Qidi support says I need to set
"M8489 T2 ; wire feed speed for loading consumables"
I assume T6? since its 3-1?
but what about
value of each step of E. This value is equal to the 1/3200 circumference of extruder gear. In addition
If more people want to check out some upgrades.
Im using his platform to fit my BMG extruder. I also reworked the fanduct.
