It says no for supports, however the top corner looks like it would need supports. Has anyone printed all the parts without supports?
Help needed!!! Hi just wondering if anyone can help, I saw a remix for the MPCNC by Ashraf Rizk aka dude9001. I am wanting to print the newer MPCNC and use some of his 3d files to make a really cheap 3d printer, however his hole sizes are 23.5mm, pretty much impossible to get in the UK, so i need to resize the lower4.obj file https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1337765/#files and the extruder mount https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1500668 to 25MM.
Im hoping with these files redone and a simple ramp 1.4 MOD to have a under £200 large dual extruder printer, all parts from aliexpress, heres how to modify the ramp 1.4 to turn the cnc into a 3d printer.
If I want to print or mill or engrave something 2 feet ( or 610mm or whatever) long, how long do the metal tubes (rails, this term is carried over from other projects I have looked into) need to be to allow the working area to be that big?
This is to figure the size of an area I need to have this do what I need before I get started on the build. So, I have studded the Mechmate.org machine, and it is about 2 feet wider and longer than the cutting area. (To cut a 4x8 sheet of plywood, the machine takes about 6x10 footprint on the shop floor).
I'm really tempted to start printing out my MP CNC parts and start the build but I'm wondering if the laser mod is strong enough to engrave on leather?
I make prototype boxes and usually cut them all by hand. A digital flatbed cutter cost $10,000.
I was thinking of printing a cnc machine and just using a drag knife. I need the machine to be 24 x 36 inches and I would need an optical eye to read registration marks. It also be amazing if I can add a creasing tool.
Do you think this is possible? How much do you think all the parts cost? I once bought a shapeoko 3 but sold it because it was a pain to assemble , but now I think they come assemble.
